Esowood is a quiet small fishing kingdom located on the southernmost region of the Rose Coast comes alive in the year 1420 DR, whilst most of the strong are off fighting in a war with the nearby floating city of Xod - the remaining people in the kingdom starve and struggle to make ends meet; trade has slowed to a halt as a result of the devastating conflict.
All of a sudden a myriad mystics all hailing from different races and schools of magic arrived, some were there to help the people of Esowood in the fight against the Shadow Worshipers in their floating castle, some were there to help the invaders from Xod, and some Mystics simply came for the money and the fame. The economy slowly starts to recover as the Mystics trade in loot from their travels in Esowood for copper, gold, platinum, electrum, and silver in order to wreathe themselves in finery, buy exotic pets or improve their arsenals.

ALIGNMENTS
Upon the official launch of The Ancient Hardware, each avatar will be afforded an artifact in their inventory that signifies their alignment. While Mystics are self-serving beings they tend to work together for common goals whether it be money, efficiency, or power - they select their companions by exchanging these virtue artifacts that allow them to witness each other’s true alignment.
The alignments are as follows:
* Lawful good
* Good
* Unaligned
* Evil
* Chaotic evil
Some characters may identify as clerics or chosen and their alignment will fall under their patron deity. Their virtue artifact will be blessed by this divine being and contain its essence.
GOBLIN SALVAGE REPO
Mystics, or more often than not - their usually Goblinoid familiars venture into the enchanting, tangled woods that surround Esowood keep in search of treasure. Scouring battlefields, ancient grottoes, ambushed caravans, and dragon hordes, mystics are able to execute these missions and add to their wealth. These items can be sold, kept, used as decoration, saved for use
in-game, and in some cases redeemed IRL.
RARITY
An avatar's rarity is defined by the value of salvage items they hold. Rarity is weighed on a scale of 1-5.
